PSAT Testing Information (October 19th)

Forest Grove High School offers the PSAT on Saturday, October 19 for juniors and sophomores interested in preparing for the SAT.

Who should take the PSAT?
There are two common four-year college entrance exams: the ACT and the SAT.  Generally, four-year colleges will accept either test.  Usually students do not have to take both exams.  The PSAT is recommended for:
1. Students who want to take both the SAT and the ACT and compare scores.
2. Students who plan to take entrance exams multiples times.
3. Juniors who are competing for National Merit Scholar status.

How do students sign-up?
Students sign up for the PSAT by paying $23 in the front office.  Juniors can sign-up starting on October 7.  The PSAT supplies some fee waivers to juniors who are on free/reduced lunch.  Sophomores can sign up after October 9.  The PSAT does not offer fee waivers to sophomores.
