Attention Students! Homecoming is just around the corner and it is time to vote
for your 2026 Homecoming Court~! See your nomination form in your email
starting today. Voting closes Oct. 9th
It’s Banned Books Week this week. Celebrate your freedom to read by stopping
by the library to borrow a book that has been challenged in other locations.
The next DECA meeting is today in the FGHS Library from 5pm to 7pm. Please
check-in with Mrs. Miller in room 1202 if you are planning on attending State this
year but will not be at the meeting. Hope to see you there!
Students need to have their ID card or StudentVue app barcode to enter the lunch
line for the first 8-10 minutes of lunch. Those students who do not have a scan
option for lunch and need to manually enter their number will need to wait 8-10
minutes before getting their lunch to allow those with their ID cards to get
through the lunch line. If you do not have an ID card, we have picture retake day
on Thursday, October 8. If you lost your ID card, you may get a new one in the
counseling office for $5. The fee will be added to your StudentVue account. ID
cards are required for boarding a school bus.
All Viking softball players please attend a meeting on Wednesday October 7th at
9:15am in the film room to discuss the Varsity Softball coach opening.
Attention all students taking an AP class this year: If you are planning on taking
an AP exam, you need to register and choose yes in your College Board account
by Friday October 30th. For questions, talk to your AP teacher or Mrs. Guerra, the
AP Coordinator in room 2102.

La próxima reunión de DECA será hoy en la biblioteca de FGHS, de 5:00 p. m. a 7:00
p. m. Por favor, comuníquense con la Sra. Miller en el salón 1202 si planean asistir a
la competencia estatal este año pero no podrán estar presentes en la reunión.

Esta semana se celebra la Semana de los Libros Prohibidos. Celebra tu libertad de
leer visitando la biblioteca para pedir prestado un libro que haya sido cuestionado o
censurado en otros lugares.
Los estudiantes deben presentar su tarjeta de identificación o el código de barras de
la aplicación StudentVue para entrar a la fila del almuerzo durante los primeros 8 a 10
minutos del receso. Aquellos estudiantes que no cuenten con un medio de escaneo
y deban ingresar su número manualmente tendrán que esperar entre 8 y 10 minutos
antes de recibir su almuerzo, para permitir que avancen primero los estudiantes que
sí tienen su tarjeta de identificación. Si no tiene tarjeta de identificación, el jueves 8
de octubre se llevará a cabo la jornada para repetir la toma de fotografías. Si perdió
su tarjeta, puede obtener una nueva en la oficina de consejería por un costo de $5;
dicho cargo se añadirá a su cuenta de StudentVue. Es obligatorio presentar la tarjeta
de identificación para abordar el autobús escolar.
Se solicita a todas las jugadoras de sóftbol de los Vikings que asistan a una reunión
el miércoles 7 de octubre a las 9:15 a. m. en el salón de cine (film room) para hablar
sobre la vacante de entrenador del equipo universitario (Varsity) de sóftbol.
Atención a todos los estudiantes que están tomando clases de AP: Si planeas tomar
el examen AP, debes registrarte y seleccionar la opción afirmativa ("sí") en tu cuenta
de College Board antes del viernes 30 de octubre. Si tienes alguna pregunta,
consulta a tu profesor de AP o a la Sra. Guerra, coordinadora de AP, en el salón 2102.
